摘要: Effects were studied of vapour chamber on specific gas permeability nanosilane (NS)-treated medium-density fibreboards (MDFs). Size range nanoparticles was 20–80 nm. NS used at four consumption levels 0, 50, 100 and 150 g/kg dry wood fibres. Density all treatments kept constant 0.67 g/cm3. Specimens for 18 weeks in vapourised chamber; their measured every two weeks. Results showed that extreme moisture uptake because the biological structure fibres, as well mold fungi growth specimens from tenth week, resulted breaking down urea–formaldehyde resin; they also weakened water-repellant effect NS; consequently, increased significantly. It can be concluded makes MDF susceptible to molds therefore NS-treated panels are not recommended moist climates which boards exposed water vapours air a long time, although NS-panels primarily higher impermeability water.
