摘要: A generic sample path based analysis of a multiple hop model network route carrying probe traffic and cross is given. It provides unifying context for active passive end-to-end measurement techniques, framework to enhance existing generate new estimation methods. Novel aspects include focusing on delay variation allowing general stream definitions. All multihop queueing effects acting probes are identified four canonical measurable signatures defined illustrated using simulation real measurements.
