摘要: Abstract The design of photobioreactors (PBRs) to treat municipal wastewater is in the early stages development. Kinetics activated sludge cannot be used for PBRs because biomass differs composition, growth and decay rates. In this paper, respirometry was extended a microalgal-bacterial consortium long-term PBR treating wastewater. Kinetic stoichiometric parameters (20 °C) were estimated endogenous respiration, biodegradable COD oxidation nitrification. comprehensive respirometric approach based on Oxygen Production Rate (OPR) photosynthetic microorganisms, Uptake (OUR) overall biomass, including data processing corrections. gross OPR (gOPR) 9.8 ± 0.2 mg O2 g TSS−1 h−1; using microalgae quantified by flow cytometry, per-cell gOPR 11 fmol cell−1 h−1. This oxygen utilized with rate 18.0 19.3 mg g TSS−1 h−1 under light dark, respectively. Biomass yield 0.66 average, similar typical values sludge. nitrification dark 0.92 mg NH4+-N TSS−1 h−1. oxygen-over-ammonium coefficient 4.4 g O2/g N conditions (similar sludge), but lower ones (2.8 g N). proposed here added experimental kinetic results needed design.
