摘要: Falls are a major cause of morbidity in Parkinson's disease (PD). The objective this study was to identify predictors falls PD and develop sim- ple prediction tool that would be useful routine patient care. Potential predictor variables (falls history, severity, cognition, leg muscle strength, balance, mobility, freezing gait (FOG), fear falling) were collected for 205 community-dwelling people with PD. monitored prospectively 6 months using monthly diaries. In total, 125 participants (59%) fell during follow- up. A model included history falls, FOG, impaired postural sway, speed, sit-to-stand, standing balance narrow base support, coordinated stability had high discrimination identifying fallers (area under the receiver-operating characteristic curve (AUC), 0.83; 95% confidence interval (CI), 0.77-0.88). clinical incorporated 3 easily determined clini- cal setting (falling previous year: odds ratio (OR), 5.80; CI, 3.00-11.22; FOG past month: OR, 2.39; 1.19-4.80; self-selected speed < 1.1 meters per second: 1.86; 0.96- 3.58) similar (AUC, 0.80; 0.73-0.86) more complex (P 5 0.14 com- parison AUCs). absolute probability falling next low, medium, risk simple, 3-test 17%, 51%, 85%, respectively. who have without significant cognitive impairment, can predicted degree accuracy tool. This enables individualized quantification falling. V C 2013 Movement Disorder Society Key W ords: disease; accidental falls; freezing; gait;
