摘要: The study aimed to compare the fall characteristics between parkinsonian single (P-SF) and recurrent fallers (P-RF), clinical features among non-fallers (P-NF), P-SF, P-RF age-matched healthy controls. As many as 72 patients with PD 74 subjects completed study. Each subject was evaluated for gait speed, timed up-and-go test, one-leg-stance six-minute walk five-times-sit-to-stand Activities-specific Balance Confidence (ABC) scale at baseline. Subjects were then followed up 12 months by telephone interview record incidence characteristics. Among patients, fell once 13 2-29 times accounting a total of 133 falls in 12-month follow-up period. most common fall-related activity both P-SF walking. mostly outdoors due "tripping", while home "muscle giving way". Clinical measures indicated that did not differ from P-NF. However, had significantly longer time, shorter 6-min distance, lower ABC score than P-SF. could be distinguished (i.e. location perceived causes falls), including leg muscle weakness, reduced exercise endurance increased level fear falling. Findings present suggest P-NF/P-SF may require different intervention strategies prevent future falls.
