摘要: The effects of several surface treatments and factors that influence wind-erosion susceptibility were measured with the means a mobile wind tunnel. test surfaces are situated in SW part Republic Niger W Africa. measurement program included determination total dust-mass fluxes surface-specific parameters like aerodynamic roughness friction velocities. Different variations investigated on one typical common sand type: different densities stone cover, kinds millet-residue alignments, topsoil humidities as well effect fallow vegetation. on-site experiments controlled wind-tunnel environment allowed observation only scarcely described literature. Increased cover resulted increased emission due to turbulence channelling effect, spite roughness. Millet-residue alignment transversal orientation direction far higher reduction documented Topsoil humidity, though above known threshold for erosion, could not completely inhibit particle entrainment because quick development thin superficial layer dry particles.
