摘要: Abstract In the Sahelian zone of West-Africa, erosion by both wind and water causes a serious decline in fertility already low fertile soils. Despite fact that flow nutrients has been intensively investigated use nutrient balances, little attention paid to contribution soil balance. Two physically based models (WEPS EUROSEM, written PCRaster) were extended with modules investigate role loss gain at scale field. The are applied three geomorphic units Katchari catchment northern Burkina Faso. WEPS can predict spatial patterns deposition due wind-blown particle transport. Depending on direction, crusting vegetation cover net or occur. When occurs considerable amounts lost, but when occurs, most these may be regained. Soil is closely related crust type present, which regulates infiltration thus runoff. Nutrient losses small compared those erosion, forever lost for area. Sediment transport saltation mode results largest time an event.
