摘要: OBJECTIVE: To determine the practices, knowledge and opinions of health care providers regarding a prenatal genetic screening program in Ontario. DESIGN: Cross-sectional self-reported survey. SETTING: PARTICIPANTS: Random sample 2000 family physicians, all 565 obstetricians 62 registered midwives province. Among subjects who were eligible (those providing antenatal or attending births) response rates 91% (778/851), 76% (273/359) 78% (46/59) respectively. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Which patients offered maternal serum (MSS), how results being communicated, test9s sensitivity, likes dislikes about MSS recommendations program. RESULTS: Most (97%) respondents stated that they offering to pregnant women their practices; 88% it routinely (87% 90% 100% midwives).
