摘要: Ovarian cancer is the most lethal of all gynecological malignancies, due in part to diagnosis at an advanced stage caused by lack specific signs and symptoms absence reliable tests for screening early detection. Most patients will respond initially treatment but about 70% them suffer a recurrence. Therefore, new therapeutic modalities are urgently needed overcome chemoresistance observed ovarian patients. Evidence accumulates suggesting that insulin/insulin growth factor (IGF) pathways could act as good target several cancers, including cancer. In this paper, we focus on role insulin/IGF tumorigenesis treatment.
