摘要: Fusobacterium nucleatum ATCC 10953 was grown in continuous culture and the atmosphere changed stepwise from nitrogen (anaerobiosis) to a mixture of air: oxygen (40:60). No significant differences biomass were observed baseline low level superoxide dismutase increased only slightly; catalase peroxidase activities never detected but NADH oxidase more than three-fold when introduced into system. In relation acidic end-products, relative proportion acetate while that butyrate decreased. Due mainly, it would seem, activity, maintained redox potential (E(h)=-274 mV) even under an 40% air dissolved not detected. This may, part, explain protective role F. for anaerobes both biofilm planktonic phases aerated, mixed cultures oral bacteria.
