摘要: Glycoprotein quality control is categorized into three kinds of reactions; the folding nascent glycoproteins, ER-associated degradation misfolded or unassembled and transport sorting correctly folded glycoproteins. In all processes, N-glycans on glycoproteins are used as tags that recognized by intracellular lectins. We analyzed functions these lectins their sugar-binding specificities. The results clearly showed A, B, C-arms high mannose-type glycans participate in folding, sorting, degradation, respectively, newly synthesized peptides. After transported to Golgi apparatus, trimmed Man3GlcNAc2 then rebuilt various complex-type Golgi, resulting addition diverse sugar structures allow play roles outside cells.
