摘要: The phases of SU(N) gauge theories at finite temperature can be analyzed in terms the Wilson line L(x) = TrP exp(ig..integral../sub 0//sup ..beta../A/sub 0/(x,tau)dtau). question confinement is related to spontaneous breakdown a Z(N) symmetry: not =0 corresponds symmetry breaking and deconfinement, 0 implies restoration confinement. A previous calculation one-loop effective potential for L discussed theories, both with without fermions. possible mechanism confining-deconfining transition formation ''Z(N) bubbles'' discussed. For SU(2) Z(2) bubbles are simply finite-temperature instantons. However, instantons SU(N). It shown that bag picture hadronic structure similar Callan, Dashen, Gross may emerge from this picture.
