摘要: Abstract A longitudinal study was made of the presence Candida species and yeasts in infants from day birth until 1-yr-old, diagnosed by culture oral swab samples. The isolation rate rose 5.7 per cent neonatally to 14.2 on discharge hospital at 7 days. prevalence increased sharply when returned home, reaching 82 4 weeks age, but then slowly declined 50 1 yr. At weeks, were isolated an additional 14 infants. predominant C. albicans with relatively few isolates tropicalis, parapsilosis pseudotropicalis. Estimates neonatal serum antibody showed no correlation initial or subsequent colonization this organism.
