摘要: Accumulating evidence strongly suggests that gamma amino butyric acid (GABA) receptors play a crucial role in the pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease (PD). Therefore, present study was designed to investigate GABA-B receptor modulation experimental models MPTP-induced PD. MPTP administered repeatedly on 1st, 7th and 14th day intranigrally for induction PD Male Wistar rats. Baclofen (10 20mg/kg) antagonist CGP35348 (10mg/kg) were given after 14 days. Different behavioural tasks performed during 14th, 21st, 28th days injection biochemical parameters estimated 28th. Central administration showed significant impairment motor behaviour marked increase oxidative damage LPO GSH striatum cortex. Pro-inflammatory cytokines like TNF-α IL-β significantly increased region treated However, post treatment with baclofen improved abnormalities attenuated neuro-inflammation CGP35348, antagonist, reversed protective effect neuroprotection. The concluded produce beneficial against induced symptoms rats through GABAergic mechanism.
