摘要: Abstract The signature of a prolonged subduction–accretion history from Paleozoic to Early Mesozoic is preserved within the dismembered serpentinite melanges Hongseong suture. Here we present major and trace element data mafic fragments/blocks Baekdong melange revealing their arc-like tholeiite affinity suprasubduction zone tectonic setting. Chromian spinel compositions hydrated mantle peridotite (serpentinite) are characterized by high Cr# (0.53–0.67) Fe 2+ /Fe 3+ ratio, medium Mg# (0.42–0.55), Al 2 O 3 contents (17–25 wt.%) indicating forearc environment for peridotite. estimated melting degree (> 17.6%) FeO/MgO parental melt (0.9–1.3) consistent with that magmas. SHRIMP zircon U–Pb ages high-grade rock an anorthosite study area give protolith ~ 310 Ma ~ 228 Ma, respectively. Zircons associated orthogneiss block yield Neoproterozoic crystallization age ~ 748 Ma. These results, together recent other Wolhyeonri complex, suggest subduction subsequent collision events led exhumation peridotites metasomatized wedge. region preserves important clues long-lived system related global final amalgamation Pangaea supercontinent.
