Causas de óbito e razões para eutanásia em uma população hospitalar de cães e gatos

摘要: To determine the main causes of death in a population dogs and cats from University Veterinary Hospital, data clinical records obtained July, 2005 to 2009 were analyzed. During that period, 2,243 animals taken hospital, 2,075 168 cats. The percentage was 10.6% (220/2.075) dogs, 8.92% (15/168) median age at 59.97 months for 82.79 reasons euthanasia infectious or parasitic diseases, diseases caused by physical agents neoplasia. Except their age, all other characteristics described did not have an effect on life expectancy dogs. In cats, urinary cause mortality. results observed this work identify need prophylactic measures will enable better expectancy, consequently, change frequency
