摘要: Fibrovascular polyps of the oesophagus are rare. Despite this, they provoke considerable interest because their often dramatic presentation, and potential for lethal complications. When diagnosis is entertained, endoscopic or radiological confirmation usually easily obtained local excision curative. An adult patient described who presented after partial regurgitation a 10 cm polyp. In view size lesion its proximal attachment, polypectomy was undertaken. The diagnostic pitfalls therapeutic options in this unusual condition discussed.
