摘要: Abstract Exploring bio-renewable materials to replace petroleum-based building blocks for advanced coatings has been a major thrust area researchers the development of eco-friendly and sustainable products. For last few decades, there significant interest among coating around world design water-based polyurethane dispersions (PUDs) that can be cured at ambient conditions. In present work we synthesized auto-oxidizable PUDs based on cardanol as material also provides self-crosslinking attribute PUDs. Such types are expected suitable industrial protective primers. The cardanol-based intermediates final products characterized by FTIR spectroscopy conformation synthesis reaction their structures. dried films coatings, formulated using drier catalyst, exhibited improvement in mechanical properties solvent resistance. oxidative curing investigated differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). corrosion resistance steel substrate, studied electrochemical impedance (EIS) technique showed better performance cross-linked films.
