摘要: The presence of vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) immunoreactive nerve fibers (LI) in the respiratory tract mammals is well documented. These are known to originate from parasympathetic postganglionic neurons and be associated with blood vessels, submucosal glands, smooth muscle. We found that, addition this, epithelial layer rat trachea also contains VIP-LI fibers. Vagotomy or ligation cervical portion vagus resulted respectively a decrease within epithelium accumulation VIP axons proximal site transection ligation, whereas no changes were seen other parts trachea. On hand, capsaicin pretreatment caused similar surgical procedures. findings indicate that tracheal supplied by sensory ganglia nerve.
