摘要: Abstract The Altamaha River region of southeastern Georgia is widely recognized for its biodiversity and conservation value imperiled species. Even so, intensive amphibian reptile surveys have never been conducted in this area. From 2008 to 2016, we herpetofaunal at 13 lands located along the lower reaches a main tributary, Ocmulgee River. We used variety field methods including visual encounter surveys, turtle trapping, frog-call drift fences, snakes Gopherus polyphemus (Gopher Tortoise) burrows. these data, combined with review published literature search relevant museum collections, determined that other nearby support diverse herpetofauna 100 species, 41 species (18 salamander 23 frog toad species) 59 (1 crocodilian, 11 lizard, 33 snake, 14 species).
