摘要: Significant extensions to the technology for seismic-isolation were required three recent applications in New Zealand. The structures isolated a new Central Police Station Wellington, printing press hall built Petone Wellington Newspapers Ltd,, and capacitor banks at Haywards substation near Lower Hutt. In each case isolating devices tested verify their performance characteristics. This paper presents results of testing. lead-extrusion damper rated 250 kN load ±400 mm stroke, lead-rubber bearing measuring 609 mm×609 mm×460 mm, steel taper-beam 10.6 ±200 stroke.
