摘要: Abstract Introduction: Chronic conditions are among the most common and costly of all health problems. Addressing tobacco use adults with chronic is a public priority due to high prevalence as well greater potential harm from continued use. Methods: Data were drawn 9 years (2005–2013) U.S. National Survey on Drug Use Health. Adult (≥ 18 years) included any past 30-day cigarettes, cigars, pipes, or smokeless tobacco. examined anxiety, asthma, coronary heart disease, depression, diabetes, hepatitis, HIV, hypertension, lung cancer, stroke, substance abuse. Controlling for sociodemographics, trends in product composite condition those compared respondents no weighted logistic regression analyses. Results: Cigarette smoking declined significantly over time condition. Adults one more showed comparable decrease, cigarette remaining especially reporting Cigar pipe remained stable prevalent condition, exception declining disease. Smokeless increased time, higher mental health, abuse conditions. Conclusions: These findings have control regulatory implications addressing Provider advice cessation resources targeting recommended.
