摘要: Background The purpose of this study was to examine the effects cyclooxygenase (COX) deficiency on baseline functional characteristics and recovery left ventricular developed pressure (LVDP) after 20 minutes global ischemia 40 reperfusion in untreated preconditioned hearts. Methods Results Compared with hearts from wild-type (WT) COX-2−/− mice, cardiac prostaglandin (PG) E2 6-keto-PGF1α levels were significantly decreased COX-1−/− mice. After ischemia, PGE2 increased WT, COX-1−/−, mice (P<0.05). Recovery function less than WT Pretreatment indomethacin for 2 days before LVDP recovery; however, perfusion did not alter recovery.
