Cytokinins and gibberellins in sap exudate of the oil palm

摘要: Exudates were collected from stumps of pre-anthesis inflorescences oil palm and analysed for cytokinin gibberellin content using combined HPLC-ELISA techniques. Three antisera, zeatin-type, dihydrozeatin-type isopentenyladenine-type cytokinins, used in ELISAs to identify members these three groups cytokinins. Ribotides, 9-glucosides, free bases ribosides detected each the with zeatin riboside most abundant identified exudate. Isopentenyladenine-type cytokinins also but at lower levels. In addition, two monoclonal antibodies development novel 13-hydroxylated non-13-hydroxylated families gibberellins. The new allow determination gibberellins smaller amounts tissue than are required GC-MS. exudates GA19 GA44, as well other early 13-hydroxylation pathway. Gibberellins confirmed by presence types growth regulators exudate supplying immature suggest they have a role structures.
