摘要: Bariatric surgery improves lipid profile. A still unanswered question is whether this improvement merely weight-dependent or also results from factors inherent to specificities of the bariatric procedure. We aimed study profile 1 year after and compare its changes between different procedures in patients matched for initial weight loss. retrospectively analysed submitted Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB), adjustable banding (AGB) sleeve gastrectomy (SG) 2010 2013. Patients were age (±5 years), sex, pre-surgery body mass index (BMI) (±2 Kg/m2) excess loss (EWL) (±5 %). Baseline 1-year profile, variation percentage was compared surgeries. 229 patients: 72 pairs RYGB-AGB, 47 RYGB-SG 33 AGB-SG. The median 41 (35–52) years 11.8 % male. Pre-operative BMI 44.0 ± 4.6 32.1 ± 4.4 Kg/m2 at 1 year. EWL 64.2 ± 18.9 %. There no differences baseline types surgery. At 1 year, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL) triglycerides (TG) improved similarly with all Total (TC) low-density (LDL) decreased significantly more RYGB than weight-matched undergoing AGB SG. only that reduces TC LDL age-, sex-, BMI- EWL-matched patients. All three TG HDL when confounding effect eliminated.
