摘要: As part of usability evaluation, users may be invited to offer their reflections on the system being evaluated. Such concern system's suitability for its context use, problem predictions, and design suggestions. We term data resulting from such users' feedback. Gathering feedback as evaluation seen controversial, current knowledge is fragmented. To mitigate this, we have conducted a literature review. The review provides an overview benefits limitations in evaluations. Following extensive search process, 31 research papers were identified relevant analysed. Users' gathered number distinct purposes: support budget approaches testing, expand interaction provide insight into problems everyday context, benefit creativity. Evaluation findings based can qualitatively different from, hence complement, other types data. Furthermore, hold acceptable validity, though thoroughness questioned. Finally, substantial impact downstream development process. Four practical implications are highlighted, three directions future suggested.
