摘要: Ovarian granulosa cells (GC) play an important role in the growth and development of follicle process known as folliculogenesis. In present review, we focus on recent developments prohibitin (PHB) research relation to GC physiological functions. PHB is a member highly conserved eukaryotic protein family containing repressor estrogen activity (REA)/stomatin/PHB/flotillin/HflK/C (SPFH) domain (also domain) found diverse species from prokaryotes eukaryotes. ubiquitously expressed circulating free form or multiple cellular compartments including mitochondria, nucleus plasma membrane. anchored mitochondrial inner membrane forms complexes with ATPases associated proteases having activities. continuously shuttles between cytosol nucleus. nucleus, interacts various transcription factors modulates transcriptional directly through interactions chromatin remodeling proteins. Many functions have been attributed nuclear such differentiation, anti-proliferation, morphogenesis maintenance functional integrity mitochondria. However, date, regulation expression patterns are not completely understood.
