摘要: Mangrove forests occur most extensively on low-energy, sedimentary shorelines of the tropics, generally between intertidal elevations. Their global extents are limited by 20C sea surface temperature isotherm; hence, coastal distributions in subtropics influenced origin influencing oceanic currents (Figure 1), thus reaching higher latitudes east coasts continents relative to west. Within these temperature-controlled global ranges, extent of mangrove habitats is mostly controlled availability suitable environmental settings, and biodiversity therein biogeographic history (Duke et al., 1998).
