摘要: Background & Aims The use of esophageal endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) to remove superficial neoplasms is gradually becoming more common in Japan. However, large-scale ESD often requires subsequent multiple balloon dilations prevent postoperative stricture. We investigated the safety and efficacy transplantation tissue-engineered autologous oral mucosal epithelial cell sheets preventing formation strictures after ESD. Methods performed an open-label, single-arm, single-institute study. collected specimens tissue from 9 patients with neoplasms. Epithelial were fabricated ex vivo by culturing isolated cells for 16 days on temperature-responsive culture surfaces. After a reduction temperature, these endoscopically transplanted directly ulcer surfaces who had just undergone All monitored endoscopy once week until epithelialization was complete. Results Autologous successfully using endoscope. Complete re-epithelialization occurred within median time 3.5 weeks. No experienced dysphagia, stricture, or other complications following procedure, except one patient full circumferential ulceration that expanded esophagogastric junction. Conclusions Sutureless, carrier-free composed safely effectively promotes esophagus Patients this study did not experience any serious complications. This procedure might be used stricture improve patients' quality life. Further will needed show can prevented.
