Being a woman with HPV: a cultural approach

摘要: This study was carried out in order to investigate the level of women's knowledge about HPV, identify beliefs, myths and taboos as well analyze influence these cultural elements on behavior. We performed a based transcultural care theory. The research developed from testimonies 15 women who were undergoing treatment for HPV. Through investigation, it possible perceive that HPV is disease still unknown surrounded with mystery, despite all sources information Sexually Trasmitted Diseases (STD). ignorance, which interacts factors, favors development wrong concepts, such beliefs myths.
