摘要: ✓ During the last decade, several authors have reported that certain brain-stem gliomas may be associated with a better prognosis than others. In this paper, retrospective correlations between pathological findings and magnetic resonance (MR) imaging appearance of 88 are established. The propose an anatomical hypothesis helps identify glioma growth patterns in general clarifies why cervicomedullary, dorsally exophytic, focal tumors more favorable prognosis. According to hypothesis, benign brain stem is guided by secondary structures such as pia, fiber tracts, ependyma, which turn leads stereotypical clearly identified on MR images. believe conjunction clinical data, help establish selection criteria for surgical treatment specific lesions.
