摘要: BACKGROUND There is a need for valid self-rating questionnaire to screen psychiatric morbidity in patients with chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS). This study had the aim of assessing utility and validity two commonly used measures. METHOD Scores obtained on General Health Questionnaire (GHQ) Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) were compared various diagnostic severity ratings via validating clinical interview, Schedules Clinical Assessment Neuropsychiatry (SCAN) 95 consecutively referred subjects at medical out-patient clinic who fulfilled standard criteria CFS, 48 healthy controls. Outcome measures coefficients receiver operating characteristics (ROC) different thresholds scoring GHQ BDI index definition (ID) as measured by SCAN; Pearson point serial correlation groups derived SCAN defined according ICD-10 DSM-III-R.
