摘要: Abstract From an NH2-terminal sequence analysis of the long and short form myosin subfragment 2 we have suggested that putative hinge region in rod is located COOH-terminal portion (Lu, R. C. (1980) Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. U.S.A. 77, 2010-2013). The amino acid this has now been determined: ASRA KAEKQRSDLSRELEEISERLEEAGGATSAQIEMNK KREAEFEKMRRDLEEATLQHEATAAALRKKHAD SVAELGEQIDNLQRVKQKLEKEKSELKMEIDDLA GNMETVSKAKGNLEKMCRTLEDQ(L/V)SE(V/L)KT KEEEHQRLIN(D/E)L(S/G)AQ(K/R)AR. Comparison with other portions rod, viz. light meromyosin, tropomyosin shows shares some feature a coiled-coil helical structure, but it somewhat fewer hydrophobic coil-coil interactions there significant number charged residues core region. This suggests stability would be reduced comparison structures.
