摘要: DNA-capped iron oxide nanoparticles are nearly 10-fold more active as a peroxidase mimic for TMB oxidation than naked nanoparticles. To understand the mechanism, effect of DNA length and sequence is systematically studied, other types polymers also compared. This rate enhancement obvious with longer and, in particular, poly-cytosine. Among various polymer coatings tested, offers highest enhancement. A similar acceleration observed nanoceria. On hand, when positively charged substrate replaced by negatively ABTS, inhibits oxidation. Therefore, phosphate backbone bases can increase binding nanoparticles, thus facilitating reaction presence hydrogen peroxide.
