摘要: Enterotoxigenic strains of Escherichia coli produce a heat-labile holotoxin (LT), which causes diarrhea. We engineered corn seeds to LT-B, the nontoxic subunit LT, serve as plant-derived vaccine traveler's diarrhea and an adjuvant for co-administered proteins. previously demonstrated that strong mucosal systemic antibody response is elicited in young mice with oral administration corn-derived LT-B. The present study examined responses LT-B aged mice, recall injection mice. Specific IgA IgG antibodies were detectable during 11-mo period, although concentration antigen-specific declined gradually. Booster by feeding or dramatically increased specific from seen levels boosted concentrations similar those This effect may be age-dependent related prior immunization exposure. Analysis naive against age-related suppression production, but not IgA. These results provide important information edible strategies individuals.
