Facial electromyography as a predictor of treatment outcome in depression.

摘要: Electromyograms (EMGs) from the corrugator, zygomatic and splenius capitis muscle sites Beck depression inventory scores were obtained 21 depressed in-patients shortly after admission two weeks in hospital. Contrary to result of a previous study by other investigators, significant covariaton between depressive symptoms corrugator EMG levels was not seen. However, consistent with second finding study, initial shown be significantly predictive treatment outcome. Further, also found predict changes depression. The explanation is unclear further research needed.
