摘要: All energy scenarios show a shift toward an increased percentage of renewable sources, including biomass. This study gives overview water footprints (WFs) bioenergy from 12 crops that currently contribute the most to global agricultural production: barley, cassava, maize, potato, rapeseed, rice, rye, sorghum, soybean, sugar beet, cane, and wheat. In addition, this includes jatropha, suitable crop. Since climate production circumstances differ among regions, calculations have been performed by country. The WF bioelectricity is smaller than biofuels because it more efficient use total biomass (e.g., for electricity or heat) fraction crop (its sugar, starch, oil content) biofuel. bioethanol appears be biodiesel. For electricity, cane are favorable [50 m3/gigajoule (GJ)]. Rapeseed typical crops, disadvantageous (400 m3/GJ). ethanol, potato (60 100 m3/GJ) advantageous, followed (110 m3/GJ); sorghum unfavorable. biodiesel, soybean rapeseed jatropha has adverse (600 When expressed per L, ranges 1,400 20,000 L If greater contribution supply takes place, results can used select countries produce in water-efficient way.
