Ultrasonic detection of cracks in wheel set axles

摘要: Abstract This paper presents a means of testing railway carriage wheel sets with ultrasonic probes mounted on the cylindrical surface axle between bearing and disc. The results tests show that method provides consistent coupling efficiency, using liquid coupling, while probe is rotated smooth collar.
