摘要: Charge state evolution of the energetic projectile ions during passage through thin carbon foils has been revisited using X-ray spectroscopy technique. Contributions from bulk and solid surface in charge changing processes have segregated by measuring distribution target ion–solid interaction. Interestingly, measured exhibits Lorentzian profile contrast to well-known Gaussian structure observed electromagnetic methods theoretical predictions. The occurrence such behavior is a direct consequence imbalance between processes, which seen various cases laboratory plasma. It suggests that ion-solid collisions constitute high-density, localized plasma target, called beam-foil This condensed similar high-density solar stellar may practical implementations fields, particular, physics nuclear astrophysics. present work further modification calculations incorporating coupling effects interactions. Moreover, multi-electron capture exit confirmed comparison experimentally theoretically predicted values mean ions.
