摘要: Medial calcinosis of Monckeberg is frequently observed in peripheral arteries diabetics with neuropathy. The cause this vessel alteration unknown and the clinical significance has been questioned. Six to eight years after uni- or bilateral lumbar sympathectomy 60 patients were investigated radiologically for medial foot arteries. Of patients, 55 had Monckeberg's sclerosis. In 93% who undergone operation calcification was seen both feet. After unilateral incidence on operated side significantly higher than non-operated (88% versus 18%,p<0.01). There no significant difference between non-diabetics. These findings suggest that related autonomic neuropathy vessels. Fifty-two 160 (32.5%) severe arterial occlusive disease lower limbs showed sclerosis associated type vascular (p<0.025). Two groups same stage but without (group A) B) examined by Doppler ultrasound. group A mean ankle pressure (pD) 51 mm Hg Riva-Rocci (pRR). spite ischemia pD B exceeded pRR 14 Hg. 63% a pD-pRR value ≧0 positive could be shown. Thus can pseudohypertensive pressures mask disease. It might play role development arteriosclerosis limbs.
