摘要: Security of a newly deployed device has always been crucial issue for vendors and researchers. However, that is not the case existing devices have an outdated or limited security defense mechanism. These introduced new range threats in many areas, including smart homes grids. There are number significant challenges require more in-depth look. to no protocols defend themselves against adversaries. In most cases, these contact with other devices, they can be used as potential point entry compromise system. Vendors prioritized security, leaving millions people at risk various forms attacks. This paper exploits from hardware perspective. particular, this proposes novel device-specific signature generation approach by bringing concept physical unclonable function (PUF) into legacy devices. Experimental results show signatures generated each sufficiently unique secret keys communication cryptographic operations.
