摘要: Abstract In this study, biodiesel was produced from terebinth oil by the well known transesterification process in methyl alcohol environment. Terebinth is non-edible oil, thus food versus fuel conflict will not arise if used for production. The optimum conditions of production are investigated study. A maximum 77% with 20% methanol presence 1% sulphuric acid (H 2 SO 4 ). resulting quite similar to conventional diesel its main characteristics. obtained added volumetrically 10% and 50%. mixtures that addition 50% were named here as B10 B50 fuel. Performance exhaust emissions a compression ignition engine experimentally investigated. Biodiesel blends have lowered power output increased brake specific consumption (Bsfc) probably due lower heating value biodiesel. experimental results showed including carbon monoxide (CO), dioxide (CO ), hydrocarbons (HC) reduced all mixtures.
