摘要: The stratum corneum, which is the outermost layer of skin, functions as an important barrier to maintain biological homeostasis. multilamellar structures formed by intercellular lipids present in corneum are considered play role function. Most unbound and can be extracted organic solvents, but some covalently bound cornified envelope proteins. Decreases lipid levels reduce function relationship between not well understood. In this study, we examined amount ceramide, main lipid, corneum. A single dose UVB irradiation (2 x MED), or continuous (0.5 MED/day for 14 days) back, feeding with essential fatty acid-deficient (EFAD) diet 8 weeks caused a significant elevation TEWL reduction ceramides hairless rats. Transmission electron microscopy revealed that treated rats were incomplete (folding, defects, unclear images) compared seen non-UVB-irradiated non-EFAD These results suggest highly correlated formation lamellar structures, involved maintenance skin.
