摘要: Small-game hunting plays an important economic role in central Spain and some game species are key food resources for threatened predators. Small carnivores may reduce numbers of species. To alleviate predation pressure on populations, management is often focused predator control. Control methods can be non-selective, so could potentially have a negative impact non-target carnivore species, affecting guild composition diversity. Using data diversity 70 quadrants (5 × 5 km) large area with two main land uses (small-game mixture big-game forestry), we assessed how was related to Carnivore richness significantly lower those areas managed small-game than where other predominated. The apparently least affected by control the red fox (Vulpes vulpes), target Results suggested that low linked activities, which probably associated non-selective practices. Therefore, order reconcile conservation goals it imperative develop evaluate selective techniques.
