摘要: The Invertebrate section of the Museum Zoology QCAZ at Pontifi cal Catholic University Ecuador in Quito maintains nearly two million curated specimens, and comprises Ecuadors largest collection native taxa. We review 1902 type specimens from 6 subspecies 320 species 121 genera 42 families, currently kept Museum. list includes 116 holotypes, 10 allotypes, 1774 paratypes 2 neoparatypes. is particularly strong Coleoptera (family Carabidae Staphylinidae) Hymenoptera. However, other insect orders such as Diptera Lepidoptera non-insect arthropods Acari, Aranea Scorpiones, are moderately represented collection. This report provides original data labels every specimen record. An analysis geographic distribution localities showed that sites clustered geographically with most them found towards northern region Ecuador, Pichincha, Cotopaxi Napo provinces. Sites mainly located highly accessible areas near highways towns. Localities a high number include cloud forest reserve Bosque Integral Otonga Parque Nacional Yasuni Amazon rainforest PUCE's Scientifi c Station.
