Taxonomic studies of Ecuadorian insect fauna have been well developed for only few groups (e.g. Papilionoidea, Carabidae) remains its infancy most orders. This is due to huge diversity species living great habitats difficulty identify species. There lack published basic biological information high rate endemism many groups, especially Andes.
