摘要: Plant breeders are keenly interested in haploid sporophytes because using the conventional method of plant breeding, a considerable number generations needed to create pure lines from heterozygous population. However, if chromosomes haploids doubled, completely homozygous can be obtained one or two generations. The genetic factors doubled plants fixed and will identical future generations, making it possible for breeder evaluate quantitative characters such as yield quality early breeding process. Furthermore, much smaller population may than that required when employing diploid (Nei, 1963; Baenziger et al., 1984).
