Color Centers in CsCl-Type Alkali Halides

摘要: A study of x-ray-induced color centers in the CsCltype alkali halides is made at room, liquid nitrogen. and helium temperatures. The gross features this coloration are similar to those observed NaCl-type halides, namely a principal absorption band visible portion spectrum with other absorptions both longer shorter wavelengths. spectra vary temperature irradiation; bands show characteristic thermal shtfting broadening, bleach under optical excitation, demonstrate much usual color-center behavior. At same time some characteristics cesium appear be unique, particular multiplicity structure which makes its appcarance CsCl CsBr temperature. Since gives evidence being associated F center, one possible explanation component that it arises from higher excited states center. (auth)
