Effect of Pressure on F-Center Absorption in Alkali Halides

摘要: Measurements are reported for the effect of hydrostatic pressure to 5000 atmospheres on $F$-center absorption seven alkali halides. An interpretation is made shift band maximum with pressure, and difference between that temperature. The depends almost entirely local interionic distance at $F$ center. temperature largely governed by this same factor, but it must be supplemented a contribution from interaction electron optical vibrations lattice. Effects pressure-induced structure transformation in RbCl described both photochemically additively colored crystals.
