摘要: Sera from two sheep experimentally infected with ovine lentivirus (OLV) and 186 selected flocks known high or low prevalence of infection on the basis virological histopathological examination were simultaneously tested by whole virus (WV) ELISA, recombinant transmembrane (r-TM) ELISA AGID assay. Antigens for both WV prepared an Italian field isolate; antigen was derived N′-terminal region envelope protein strain K1514. The detected highest number seropositives, followed r-TM test. sensitivity specificity relative to 0.66 0.95, respectively. Immunoblot analysis 14 ELISA-positive ELISA-negative sera showed that major core immunodominant antigen. It is concluded more sensitive than test but less particularly detecting antibodies in early stages infection.
